a glorious sunny Saturday as I write this. Old Man Winter blustered and boo hooed alot these past months. But, alas Spring appears to have finally burst forth! And with Spring comes fresh anticipation and hope.
Hope of an improved economy.
Hope of better health.
Hope of a stronger marriage or
Hope of escape from loneliness.
Hope of less stress
Hope of more joy
Hope of ____________________ (you fill in the blank)
Last time I wrote, my hope was escape from the hurts of a difficult co-worker. Thankfully, she resigned. But, God waited to allow this until I'd learned to accept the situation and trust Him enough to do what was best.
Again and again God teaches me to relax, trust and hope in Him.
If I do this, things work out perfectly. It's only when I get anxious and try to take control that my world unravels. In those times, it's as if God has his hand on the temperature gauge of my life and turns up the heat until I remember He's in charge. Once I relinquish my grip my inner peace returns and hope bursts forth.
Whatever your hope is this season, my prayer for you is found in Romans 15:13 of the Holy Bible (New Living Translation)
"So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."
What do you hope for this Spring? Let's share, trust God and grow strong together.
Debbie
